Portable Pocket Series — Finance

FinanceCalc Pro

Launching 2026

Run the numbers, see the math, keep the spreadsheet.

FinanceCalc Pro is 216 finance calculators in one app — loans and mortgages, retirement, investing, real estate, business, and income tax for every state. Enter your numbers and press Calculate: you get the answer, the formula behind it, and a full schedule or chart where one helps. Drag a slider to see what changes, save the scenario, and compare it with the next offer.

It is made for people who like to check the math — homeowners weighing a refinance, savers planning retirement, freelancers setting a rate, and loan officers and planners who hand reports to clients. Everything runs on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, with no account, no ads, and no tracking. When you need to keep working, export an Excel workbook, a branded PDF, or a CSV file.

  • 216 calculators in 16 categories
  • Excel, PDF, and CSV exports built in
  • Works offline — no account, no tracking

Features

216 calculators, 16 categories

  • Loans and mortgages, real estate, retirement, investing, stocks, bonds, credit cards, auto, business, budgeting, insurance, crypto, equity compensation, life events, and everyday math.
  • Income tax for federal, all 50 states, and DC, with 2025 and 2026 figures and a Tax Year picker wherever the year matters.
  • Retirement in depth: a Monte Carlo simulator, Social Security claiming and benefit estimates, required minimum distributions, Roth conversions, and Medicare surcharges.
  • Home decisions side by side: rent vs buy, FHA vs VA vs conventional, refinancing, rate buydowns, and rental property returns.
  • Inflation, currency, and Treasury bill calculators that run on bundled public data, so they work offline.
  • Search by name, open only the categories you need, and keep favorites one tap away.

Answers you can check

  • Every result explains its formula and method in plain words, under How It is Calculated.
  • Help text sits under every input, and a searchable Glossary defines every term in plain English.
  • Payments, balances, and interest are worked out in exact decimal arithmetic, so the cents add up.
  • Tax figures and limits come from IRS, Social Security, and state sources; where a rate is really your assumption, the app asks you for it.
  • Full schedules for loans, payoffs, and projections, row by row, not just a summary.

Explore before you decide

  • What-if sliders on up to four inputs recalculate the answer as you drag.
  • A sensitivity chart shows how the headline result moves across the range of any numeric input.
  • Trend charts you can drag across to read the exact value at any point.
  • Save any calculation as a named scenario, reopen it later, and compare two to four side by side.
  • The retirement simulator runs a thousand market paths and gives the same answer for the same inputs every time.

Take your numbers with you

  • Export to Excel: seven tabs covering the summary, inputs, results, full schedule with live totals, method, data sources, and disclaimer.
  • A clean, printable PDF report, with your own name and logo in the header if you add them.
  • CSV for any spreadsheet or accounting tool, and email for all three formats from inside the app.
  • Share a result as an image, or send a link that reopens the calculator with your inputs filled in.

Plan, not just calculate

  • A Dashboard with a financial-health score built only from the goals and accounts you enter — no invented numbers.
  • Goals with progress tracking, and a net-worth tracker with assets, liabilities, and a trend chart.
  • A Financial Profile — age, income, filing status, state, and more — fills matching inputs on new calculators, and you can switch it off for any calculator.
  • Local reminders for bills, CD maturities, quarterly estimated taxes, and goal check-ins.
  • Back up everything to a file you choose, and restore it on this device or another.

At home on every screen

  • A five-tab layout on iPhone; on iPad and Mac, a sidebar, with inputs and results side by side on wide screens.
  • Keyboard shortcuts on iPad and Mac to calculate, save, export, and move between sections.
  • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, including a tip calculator you use right on the widget.
  • Siri Shortcuts for a loan payment or future value, every calculator in Spotlight search, and a Control Center button on iOS 18.
  • English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese, in light or dark, with text that follows your size setting.

Why you can trust it

FinanceCalc Pro has no account, no ads, no analytics, and none of the hidden third-party code most apps carry. Every calculation runs on your device, and your scenarios, goals, net worth, and profile stay there. The only time it goes online is to fetch updated public reference data — inflation, Treasury and exchange rates, and tax tables — and that request carries nothing about you.

The math is built to be checked. Money is worked out in exact decimal arithmetic, every result explains its formula, and more than 1,100 automated tests check the calculators, including tests that fail if a bundled tax year goes out of date. It is a planning tool, not financial advice: check rates and rules before you act.

Version updates

FinanceCalc Pro is not in the App Store yet, so every build below is a pre-release, and version 1.0 is reserved for the first public release. The current build, listed first, adds the newest work and has not been given a version number of its own yet.

  1. Current build

    • Keyboard shortcuts on iPad and Mac to calculate, save, export, and switch sections.
    • A Financial Profile fills matching inputs on new calculators from numbers you enter once.
    • A Sensitivity chart on every calculator with a numeric input, and a searchable Glossary of every term.
