Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Rippre ("we", "us") handles, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website, email you exchange with us, and each of our products. Where a product publishes its own privacy policy, that policy describes the product in more detail and governs it; the product sections below say which ones do.
The short version
- rippre.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising, has no accounts or forms, and loads nothing from other companies.
- When you email us, we use what you send to answer you, and nothing else.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
- Most of our products keep your data on your own device and send none of it to us. The ones that run on servers are in private beta, private preview or development, and each has, or will have, its own privacy policy.
This website
rippre.com describes Rippre and its products. It has no accounts, sign-up forms or comment boxes. Every page, font, image and script comes from rippre.com itself, and the site's security settings forbid loading anything from anywhere else.
- No cookies, analytics or tracking. The site sets no cookies and contains no analytics, advertising, social-media or tracking code.
-
Your theme choice. If you pick Light or Dark, your browser remembers
it in its local storage, under the name
rippre-theme. It never leaves your browser, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes it. - Server logs. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel receives the technical details of each request (your IP address, your browser and device type, the page asked for, the page you came from, and the time) and uses them to deliver the page and keep the service secure. We do not use them to identify you or to build a profile, and Vercel keeps them for a limited period under its own policies.
- Email links. "Email us", "Notify me" and the request buttons open your own email program, addressed to us. The site itself receives nothing.
- Other sites. Links to Firefox Add-ons, our product apps and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
Email with us
Our rippre.com mailboxes are hosted by Apple's iCloud Mail, which stores and delivers messages for us. When you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if your email program sends it, and whatever you put in the message.
We use them to reply, to do what you asked (arrange a demo, say, or tell you when a product is available), and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing you did not ask for. We keep messages as long as they are useful for that, and we delete yours when you ask, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Our products
Each product's page on this site describes what it does with your information. In summary:
Products that keep your data on your device
None of these has an account, none sends us what you put in it, and none contains analytics, advertising or tracking code.
- Rippre Pocket-Bookmarks collects nothing. Your bookmarks stay in your browser and everything else stays on your device. Its optional site check asks each saved site whether it is still online, which that site can see. Its own privacy policy covers it in full.
- Screenshot Inbox sorts your screenshots into Photos albums and, when you confirm, adds events and reminders, all on your iPhone and with your permission. It makes no internet connections of its own.
- Pocket-Journal keeps your journal on your device and in your device's usual backups. If you add the weather or a place to a page, your location goes to Apple's weather and maps services to look them up. With your permission it reads summaries such as steps and sleep from Apple Health without saving them, and dictation runs on the device. If you turn backup on, it keeps encrypted copies of your journal in your own iCloud Drive; video capsules are copied there, encrypted, unless you turn that off. The key that unlocks them is kept in your iCloud Keychain.
- Pocket-Boxer reads heart rate and other workout data from Apple Health, and saves your workouts there, with your permission. If you turn it on, it saves your timer templates to your iCloud Drive. Broadcasting a session to nearby devices shows them your device's name, and scanning a QR code that contains a link downloads that link.
- Word Unlocked fetches verse text from the publisher of the translation you have selected: Crossway for the ESV, Living Stream Ministry for the Recovery Version. The request names the verses, not you.
- FinanceCalc Pro keeps your financial profile and saved scenarios on your device. Once a week it checks a public content-delivery network for updated public data that some calculators use; the request carries nothing about you.
- Pocket-Vault keeps your keys and passwords encrypted on your Mac. Its live key check, off unless you turn it on, sends a key only to the service that issued it (OpenAI, GitHub or Stripe, for example) to confirm it still works, and never to us.
- Pocket-ObSecura processes your files on your computer and makes no network connections. Its licence file records a licence number and the name the licence was issued to.
- Pocket-TokenScope reads the usage logs your AI coding tools already keep on your Mac, keeps only token counts, dates, model names and project-folder names, and makes no network connections.
Any internet request, including the few described above, shows your IP address to the server that answers it.
Products that run on servers
- Pocket-CFO and Pocket-Advisor are in private beta, by invitation. Their own Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Subprocessor List describe what they handle and the companies that help run them, and they govern those products.
- NAVdryx is in private preview and not yet open to customers. Its public demo at demo.navdryx.com runs on invented sample data; when you use it, it records your IP address and browser details with your demo session, to keep the service secure and prevent abuse. NAVdryx will publish its own privacy policy before it opens to customers.
- Roots Costa Rica has not launched and collects nothing yet. Its own privacy and cookie notices, in English and Spanish, will be published when it launches.
- Pocket-Relay is in development and not yet offered to anyone. Before it is, it will have its own privacy policy naming everything it processes and every provider it uses, including the AI services that draft replies.
Until a product publishes its own policy, this one covers it.
Buying our products
When you buy an app through Apple's App Store, Apple handles the payment and we receive no payment details. When you buy a licence from us directly, we keep the name it is issued to, your email address and what you bought, so we can deliver and support it; your card details stay with the payment company that takes the payment.
Who else receives it
- Companies that run things for us. Vercel hosts this website and Apple hosts our email; each product above names its own. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
- When the law requires it. We disclose information when we must to comply with the law or a valid legal request, or to protect someone's safety or rights.
- If Rippre changes hands. If Rippre or one of its products is sold or merged, the information that goes with it stays covered by this policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. Because this website does neither and has no tracking, a Global Privacy Control or "Do Not Track" signal has nothing here to switch off.
Why we use it
Where European or UK data-protection law applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering you and running our services securely, on performing a contract with you when you buy or use a product, and on your consent where we ask for it.
Where it is kept, and for how long
The companies we use are based in the United States, so if you contact us from elsewhere, your information is transferred there. We keep information only as long as the purpose it was given for needs it, or as long as the law requires, and we protect it by keeping as little as we can, limiting who can reach it, and encrypting it in transit.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict our use of it, to withdraw consent you gave, and to complain to your data-protection authority. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
To make a request, email us at the address below. We may ask you to confirm it is you, and we answer within one month.
Children
This website and our products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page before it takes effect.
