Pocket-TokenScope is a Mac app for developers who build with Claude Code and Codex. It reads the usage logs those tools already keep on your Mac and turns them into one dashboard of tokens, estimated spend, and requests over time, with every model under its real name and your busiest projects ranked by tokens. Pick a date range, switch between daily, weekly, and monthly views, and export the figures to a spreadsheet.
It is plain about what it can and cannot know. Spend is an estimate at one blended rate that you set, not a copy of your bill. If you answer questions about your code from a knowledge graph instead of having files read, it shows the tokens those graph builds used and estimates what they save — with every assumption on screen for you to adjust. It reads local files only and never connects to the internet.

Your usage at a glance
- Four summary cards show tokens used, estimated cost, estimated savings, and requests, each with a trend line and the change from the previous period.
- A stacked chart splits your tokens into input, output, cache, and Codex, by day, week, or month.
- Date-range presets cover the last 7, 30, or 90 days, the last 12 months, or all time.
- Tokens by model and your top projects sit side by side below the charts.
Models and projects
- Every model appears under the name in your logs, with its tokens and its share of the total.
- Codex sessions are labeled as Codex with their model name, so you can tell them apart from Claude Code.
- A donut chart shows your five biggest models at a glance, with the rest grouped together.
- Your top 20 Claude Code projects are ranked by tokens, each with its share.
Estimated cost and savings
- Estimated spend comes from one blended rate per million tokens that you set, and it is marked as an estimate.
- A savings estimator works from four assumptions you can adjust: questions answered from a knowledge graph, files per question, tokens per file, and the tokens a graph answer uses.
- A savings chart plots what you spent against what you would have spent without graph lookups.
- Knowledge-graph builds recorded in your Documents folder are listed by project, with the tokens each one used.
Export to a spreadsheet
- Export the date range you are viewing to a spreadsheet file with one click.
- Each report carries your totals, estimated cost and savings, and a row for every day, week, or month with activity.
- The file is saved to your Downloads folder, and Finder opens with it selected.
Fast, local, and private
- Your Claude Code and Codex figures appear first; knowledge-graph build costs fill in once the search of your Documents folder finishes.
- It remembers the logs it has already counted, so opening it again is quick.
- It runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
- No account, no sign-in, and no internet connection — it only reads files on your Mac.
Why you can trust it
Pocket-TokenScope reads the usage logs that Claude Code and Codex keep on your Mac, plus any knowledge-graph build records in your Documents folder. It never connects to the internet, needs no account, and never changes your logs. Apart from reports you export, the only thing it saves is a small cache of the figures it has counted — not the text of your conversations.
It does not claim more precision than it has. Cost is an estimate at a single rate you choose, not your bill. Savings cannot be measured, because your logs do not record which answers came from a graph, so the app estimates them from assumptions you can see and change.
Version updates
Pocket-TokenScope has not been released yet — these are the builds made so far, dated from the project's history. Version 1.0 is built and awaiting distribution.
